How to be Motivated Both Mentally and Physically to Work

Posted on: March 25, 2017

No matter how skillful or experienced you are or no matter how successful you may be, we can all use a bit of motivation in our life. Sometimes being exhausted and pessimistic is simply a matter of being overworked. Other times it may be that our body is craving physical exertion when all you have the opportunity of doing is being crammed up in a room. For some, it might be the opposite, too much physical exertion and not enough mental stimulation. We all know that we need to be physically and mentally active to lead a healthy and meaningful life.

Sometimes we lack the physical enthusiasm to pursue our physical goals. At other times we lack the seriousness to pursue intellectual pursuits which is the good mental health for learning. In this article we will discuss specific approaches and methods for ways to stay motivated to complete my homework against all odds. In this article we will not ask you to push yourself to the limit as if you are working in the military. We will however maintain balance, trying to implement the standard of being able to challenge yourself each day. “A river cuts through rock, not because of its power, but because of its persistence” to quote the words of Jim Watkins.

How To Be Motivated To Work

Maintaining Good Habits and Restraining From Bad Habits

We all know the bad habits that we have and occasionally we do get to hear compliments from other people about our good habits. There are some bad habits which we have which even annoys us personally, but we can’t seem to be able to do a thing about it. Then there are the bad habits which we enjoy. We know it’s wrong but we still ignore the consequences. The first step in changing a bad habit is identifying the bad habits. Give yourself a period of five days to identify all the bad habits. Write down the habits which you know are wrong and also consult your family, friends and peers to compile the list.

Pick one of the habits and in front of that habit write down exactly what provokes you to do it. Now write down all the bad consequences associated with it. To be able to remain determined to persevere against all odds, put this list in a place which you look at every day. It could be the next to the mirror, behind the bathroom door, next to your bedside. Early morning is one of the best times to reprogram your mind and set goals for the entire day. Look at this list early in the morning and set yourself goals for just the day. Not the entire week, or the month, or the year but just this day today. Day by day you will be on the way to success.

How to Self Motivate Yourself to Achieve Physical Goals

“If you don’t know where you’re going, any road will get you there” to quote the words of Lewis Carroll. The key to physical fitness is goals. It doesn’t matter how small or how modest they seem, you have to have goals. It is my opinion that, the human mind works best after it has seen something in writing. As a starting point, write down all your physical goals. When I say goals I mean the ones which you consider are achievable. Once you have done that, now write down yourself deadlines for each goal. Achievable deadlines, not overly optimistic deadlines which you know you will never be able to achieve.

If you don’t already have one yet, you need to write yourself a timetable. This way you will know when to help with homework and which time you have all to yourself. Every day when you wake up you need to look at your list of bad habits. Every day tell yourself you need to lose these bad habits to help you deal with stress and be relaxed. The next in line of importance are your physical goals. These are the goals which will teach you how to be motivated and believe in yourself when all else fails.

Establishing an Overall Positive Self Image and Assessment

Some of the most successful in life didn’t always have everything they ever wanted from the start. From Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg and even Bill Gates, all of these people faced some of the toughest circumstances and some of the most humble beginnings. As the saying goes, diamonds are formed under pressure. It will be tough, but you will always have to believe in yourself. Steve Jobs used to tell Apple employees, “we are going to make insanely great products.” Believe in yourself and never show up late for exercise. Your body is your temple, you will never get another body, take care of the one you have.
